Australia, Adds New Models
Jeep has unveiled the revamped 2021 Wrangler lineup for the Australian market, introducing with it a host of new variants and additional features.
The most significant update made to the 2021 Wrangler family is the addition of a Sport S variant that acts as the entry-level grade for the 2-Door model and comes with heavy-duty Dana front and rear axles, underbody skid plates, and a wash-out interior.
Elsewhere, the Sport S includes a Selectable Tyre Fill Alert (STFA) system that was first introduced on the Gladiator and makes inflation and deflation more convenient by providing an auditory notification when the desired tire pressure is reached. The system can be activated through the touchscreen.
Other standard features include Selec-Speed Control, also known as off-road cruise control, as well as a host of active safety equipment including Forward Collision Warning Plus, Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop, Blind Spot Monitor and Rear Cross Path Detection. Customers can also option the Off-Road Group package or the Comfort and Sound Group package.
For 2021, Jeep has also introduced a Wrangler Unlimited Night Eagle variant in 4-Door guise. This model sports darkened exterior and interior accents and comes standard with the Comfort and Sound Group that adds an 8.4-inch touchscreen, 9-speaker Alpine Premium Audio System with subwoofer, tinted windows, remote start system, security alarm, and a hardtop headliner.
Various other changes have been made across the Wrangler range. For instance, there’s an optional Sky One-Touch Powertop for the Unlimited Overland model, as well as a Trail Rail Cargo Management System. As for the always-popular Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon, it includes Off-Road+ Mode as standard and a Trail-Ready Package with a Forward Facing TrailCam.
Australian pricing for the 2021 Jeep Wrangler starts at AU$51,950 (US$38,491) for the Sport S and tops out at AU$67,450 (US$49,975) for the Unlimited Rubicon.
