Dodge SRT Demon Convertible?
A Dodge Demon Convertible? Surely, there has to be some black magic involved, but rest assured, it’s not – unless you consider tuning a voodoo puppet.
What we have here is a Dodge Challenger SRT Demon turned into a soft-top convertible. Discovered by the folks at Motorauthority, the muscle car was converted by DropTopCustoms, which is known to have performed these stunts in the past as well. Their portfolio includes a Chrysler 300, Cadillac ATS, Dodge Charger SRT and even a Challenger RT, commissioned by Shaq, all of them with their roofs chopped off.
It’s based on the 2018MY Demon and comes with only 172 miles (277 km) on the odo, rocking a plum paint finish, black five-spoke alloy wheels and yellow strip on the front apron. The soft top folds away behind the rear seats, exposing the black cabin, with leather and Alcantara, white stitching, premium sound system by Harman / Kardon, navigation system, automatic air-con, illuminated entry sills and many other features.
The 6.2-liter supercharged HEMI V8 rests under the hood, kicking out up to 840 horsepower on race fuel and rocketing the stock, hardt-top Demon to 60 mph (96 km/h) in 2.5 seconds, on a good day. The official spec sheet says that the quarter mile is completed in 9.65 seconds, but laying down the immense power is very tricky, so it takes a lot of time and practice to achieve it. All that said, we don’t know what removing the roof and adding extra support and weight does to the Demon’s performance figures.
Back when it was still in production, the Demon started at just under $85,000. This custom convertible example is listed by CapeCoral in Florida for $145,995, or $139,000 if you check out DropTopCustoms’ webpage.
